5 J..Yov., 1773. Ordered, that Mr. l\1ayor, Sher. Berry, Ald. Newman, Millerd, and Mr. llrowne be a committee to consider what clauses of the late act passed for this City should be repealed and what solicited from Parliament, that a memorial should be prepared. That Mr. Richard Maguire, apothecary; and Lewellen Nash, Esq., at the request of Mr. Mayor, be admitted freemen at large. It., that a waterpipe be fixed in theNorth Gaol and another in the Bride- well. It., that £100 3s. 10d. be paid Peter Cossart and Jasper Lucas, Esq., late Sheriffs of this City, expenses they were put to by the escape of Solomon Isaac, a debtor, who escaped from their custody. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Berry and Carleton; Alden. Newman, W es- tropp, Millerd, Philpott, Maylor, Baker, Webb, Roe ; Mr. Browne, Denroch, and Izod. 19 Nov., 1773. Ordered, that £24 6s. 3d. be ·paid John Mainaduc, Woollen draper, clothes supplied the Boys apprenticed from the Blue Coat Hospital from 11 Sep., 1772, to 13 July last; It., £21 15s. 6d. to John Owen, upholsterer, for window-curtains supplied the Mayoralty House; It., £2 18s. 6d. to Edward Higgins for paper supplied the Mayoralty House. That John Perkins, of the City of London, mercht., and James Abell, mercht., having served his father, Joseph Abell, do., be admitted free. It., that the memorial of the Mayor, &c., relative to the land carriage of flour to Dublin, be sent to the Prime Sergeant, to be laid before the house of Commons ; It., £8 Ss. Sid. to Timothy Hughes for iron work supplied; It., that the amendment of the late Cork Act, now read, be sent to Mr. Wri.x.on to Dublin, to be laid before the Recorder and Prime Sergeant, to have same properly digested and then laid before the House of Commons.
