KING WILLIA:\t'S STATUE TO BE PAINTED WHITE.

11 June, 1773. No business for want of a sufficient number.-John Lane, D. Clk. of Council. · Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Franklin and Harris ; Alden. Wetherall and Mr. Fuller, C. S. 15 June, 1773. Ordered, that £20 be paid for an Entertainment at Blackrock Castle, 1 Aug. next, It., That Ald. Franklin, Sher. Franklin and Mr. Burgess Browne be a committee to state the accounts of Bretridges and Skiuuy's Alms Houses ; It., 2 guineas to ~furtbo Connor, for summoning constaLles and attending the ~fayor's Office ; It., One guinea a quarter to William Dibbin, an ancient freeman, who is blind and very distressed; It., that Henry Wrixon, Esq., do get King William's statue in the dining-room of the Mayoralty House painted white ; It., £8 198. 11d. to Sampson Austen, Woollen-draper, for clothes for the New Exchange Porter; It., £6 128. to Rich 4 • Colwell, cabinet-maker, for 24 oak chairs supplied for the use of Blackrock Castle. Present-Mr. A:fayor, Sher. Harris and Franklin; AlJon. Westropp, Wethe- rall, Franklin, Wrixon, Maylor, Webb; Afr. Denroch and Mr. C. S. 10 Aug., 177~. This day Mr. John Lapp, as Common Speaker, was sworn to keep the secrets of the Council. Ordered, that £10 68. 3d. be paid Mr. Edmund Browning for newspapers ~ by him supplied; It., £2 lOs. to Mr. A:fayor, so much paid by him to Richd. Navin, one of the constables, for a rate charged on the Mayoralty House. This day Wm. Busteed, Esq., produced the accounts of his Waterbailiff- ship, from 29 Sep., 1771, to 29 Sep., 1772, whereby it appears he paid into the hands of the Chamberlain £104 48. 1d. over and above all other expenses. That John Cotter, mercht., having served Thos. Browne, do., and John Harris, mercht., be admitted freemen at large. Ordered, that no Dep. 'Vaterbailiff be appointed without the approbation of this Board, from 29 Sep. next.
