That John Good, having served Thos. Fuller, mercht., and Dan I. Gibbs, Esq., eldest son of Danl. G., Esq., dec., be admitted freemen. Present----:-::1\fr. Mayor, Sher. Harris; Alden. Present-Mr. Mayor, Mr. Denroch, Ald. Smith, and Mr. Fuller, C. S. 29 May, 1773. Ordered, that £64 8s. 1 !d. be paid Andrew Dalton, carpenter, for work done from 2 Oct., 1770, to 13 March last; It., £11 5s. 4d. to the Sheriffs, being costs they were put to in H. M. Court of K. B., on an application made against them for not removing one Mary Murphy to Dublin, from the City Gaol of Cork, on a writ of Habeas Corpus, in which gaol she was confined under a Tholsell action, and on which application the Court acquitted the Sheriffs ; It., 5 guineas to John Musterd, late soldier in H. M. 34 Reg. of foot, who was barbarously cut by some Ruffians on Haman's' Marsh, and being disabled was discharged; It., that £500 be botTowed at interest by the Mayor; It., that the Corporation bond passed to Mr. Danl. Perdrian, for £200, payable with interest at 5 per cent., be taken up and a new bond passed, &c. That Thomas Pigott, Esq., only son of George P., Esq., dec., be admitted free. Whereas John Ewer, one of the Mayor's Sergeants at Mace, is grown very old and not capable to execute said office, and as he had faithfully served the Corporation for upwards of 30 years in the offices of Sheriff's Bayliff and Sergeant at ]\face, ordered, that a pension of £16 a year be paid said Ewer; It., one guinea to the Trustees of the Water scheme for one year's water supplied the J\fayoralty House. That John Carleton, of Darling Hill, Esq., eldest son of John C. of do., Esq., dec., be admitted free. Present--J\fr. J\fayor, Sher. Franklin; Alden.
