served Wm. Willcocks, do.; Peter Deane, gent.f having served Thos. Farren, gent., dec., to be freemen at large. · This day Ald. Millerd, Baker, Mr. Burgess Morrison, Hen. Wrixon, Mr. - .. . .., Lucas, Ald. Franklin, and Mr. Burgess ·~y report that they adjusted the Chamberlain's accounts-from 29 March, 1771, to 29 March, 1772, and that a balance of £370 6s. 4id. was due to the Corporation, they also adjusted his accounts from 29 March, 1772, to 29 Sep., 1772, and find a balance of £678 17s. 3fd. due to the Corporation. Ordered, that a pension of £20 a year be paid the widow of Ald. Parker, dec. ; It., that John Dowman, jun., brewer, be appointed a scavenger for sweeping and keeping clean Watergate Lane and Hanover Street ; It., tP.at Henry Rugge, gent., one of the freemen at large, be appointed Constable and keeper of Blackrock Castle. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Franklin ; Alden. Newman, Philpott, Bury, J. Smith, Maylor, Franklin, Wrixon; Mr. Browne, Izod, and Fuller, C. S. 19 Feb., 1773. In pursuance of an act passed for the regulation of this City, &c., we, the Mayor, &c., do fix that the sum of 5s. 1d. (amounting to £203 6s. 8d.) be paid for erecting and repairing each lamp in this City and Suburbs, the whole number of lamps being 800. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Franklin ; Alden. Westropp, Millerd, Philpott, Bury, Franklin, Smith, Maylor, Webb;·Mr. Browne, Izod, and Fuller, C. S. 19 Feb., 1773. Ordered, that 20 guineas be paid any person who within three months shall convict the persons who desperately wounded a soldier of H. M. 34 Reg. of Foot on Wednesday last.
