Millerd, Smith, Philpott, Franklin, Wrixon, Maylor, Baker; Mr. Browne, Denroch, and Fuller, C. S. 19 Oct., 1772. John Roe, Esq., Mayor. That Mathew Freeman, Esq., eldest son of Will. F., dec., be admitted a freeman. Ordered, that Mr. Kent immediately cause the lamp irons to be erected in the several parishes in the places marked out, and also erect the posts in the main street. It., that Mr. Kent buy 50 barrels of coal; It., £14 12s. 6~d. to Richard Lane, keeper of the Bridewell, in full of the account of repairing the same. Present- Mr. Mayor, Sher. Franklin ; Aid ea. Newman, Parker, Westropp, Millerd, J. Smith, Philpott, Wetherall, Webb, Franklin; Mr. Browne, and Fuller, C. S. 28 Oct., 1772. This day Mr. Mayor took the oath of Common Council man, likewise the Sheriffs. Ordered, that Mr. Snowe wait on the Recorder with the draft of •the articles between the Mayor, &c., and Mr. Joseph Harris, for erecting, light- ing, &c., the lamps for the City and Suburbs for three years, and that Mr. Snowe do give the Recorder a fee of 4 guineas for perusing same. That John Carleton, gent, Attorney-at-Law, be admitted free. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harris and Franklin; Ald-. Owgan, Millerd, Philpott, Wetherall, Franklin, J. Smith, Wrixon, Maylor, Baker, Webb; Mr._Browne, and Fuller, C. S. 28 Oct., 1772. In pursuance of an act passed .11 and 12 of his present MajP. reign entitled an Act for the regulation of the City of Cork, &c., we, the Mayor, &c., do fix 800 lamps with single burners and good wicks, and we fix 200 lamps in the parish of Holy Trinity, 139 in the parish of S. Peter,
