£63 from the lands of Drumcununer, awl £:35 half year's rent of the grouwl on which four houses are built in Goulnaspurra, and £10 two years' rent of the ground facing the Corn 1.Iarket. Ordered, that 1\Ir. Carleton do transfer the above £3-12 lOs. 3d. to tho credit of the Corporation, on account of the sum of £920 of the money of the Blue Coat Hospital advanced for llretridge and Skiddy's Alms houses. It., that the Comntissioners appointed by act of Parliament for widening the passages of this City do treat with John Rye, Esq., for the purchase of the ground on which the late house of 1\Ir. Henry Uugg stood, and report what same is worth. Tlus day AlJ. Busteed laid his accounts as waterbniliffbefore the Council, £133 4s. 9c.l. over and above all expenses. It., that the following letter of thanks be sent to the Right Hon. John Rely Huchinson, one of our representatives- " Sir,-We return you our sincere thanks for your attachment to the interests of this City, and are fully assured that nothing in your power will ue left undone that can conduce to the honour and interest of the trade thereof. There are many laws wanting for ·the good government of this City, more than we can enumerate in this letter; our Recor(ler has taken down the heads of the laws we want, and with which he will wait on you on his return to Dublin.-Yr. faithful servants, &c." 'V11ereas a suit in ejectment hath been commenced 1Jy Edwd. Roche, Esq., in His 1\faj. Court of Excheq., against the lfayor, &c., for recovering on the title part of the Exchange of this City, ordered, that defence be taken in the name of the Mayor, &c., and that a bill in equity be filed against said Roche, to set forth under what title he claims said part of said Ex- change, &c.
