860 APPLICATIO~ TO LlNEN BOARD FOR WHEELS,. ETC., FOR THE WORK HOUSE.

10 July, 1771. Ordered, that l\1r. Sheriff Lucas and Cossart ; Alden. Busteed, Franklin, Maylor, and Baker be a Committee to stake the Corporation slab at the South side of the Navi~tion Wall in the river Lee. It., that £21 9s. O!d. be·paid Timothy Hughes for iron work and money paid Norton Parr for tinning the Corporation Kettles and Pots at the Mayoralty House; It., that £125 be paid the Trustees for conducting the pipe-water scheme, being the Corporation~s fifth dividend on 25 shares ; It., 10 guineas to the Coroners for half a year's salary; It., £108 7s. 5d. to Andrew Dalton, carpenter, for work done; It., £9 3s. 6d. to Mr. Edmond Browning, for newspapers; It., a guinea a month for six months to George Fuller, who is very indigent; It.,. that the Necessary hoase on the Blind Quay near North Bridge, be repaired by Andrew Dalton. · Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Parker, Owgan, Millerd, Philpott, and Mr. Browne. j 26 July, 1771. ~ Ordered, th~t an entertainment be prepared by Mr. MayOI' at Blackrock Castle for 1 Aug. next. · · It., that a loft for a meal market be built oTel' such part of the new Market Houses now building at Blackpool as shall be thought fit by the present overseers ; It., £3 3s. 1 Od. to Mr. Dodsworth Mitchell,. amount of a bill of costs ; It., that a well be sunk,. and a pump erected,. and a sewer made to the river in the new root market now building near the Bridewell, as the overseers shall think most proper, no private sewer to be permitted to be carried into the same; It., Mr. Snowe apply ill the name of this board to Arthur Newbury, Esq., Sec. to the Linen Board,. foc fifty wheels and runners for winding thread for the use of the work house of this City. _ 1 That the Rt.
