CASTLE STREET AND PAUL STREET TO BE MADE PASSABLE.

Noblet Rogers, Esq., Mayor. 14 Oct., 1768. This day the Mayor and Sheriffs took the oath of Common Council men during office. Ordered, that £60 13s. 3d. be paid Patrick Osborne, the balance of his account for stuccoing.the staircase and lobby of the Mayoralty House; It., £11 7s. 6d. to Mr. Burgess Wrixon and Butler, to buy a clock for the Mayoralty House. It., that a memorial be sent to the Lo.-Lieut., praying an embargo to prevent the exportation of Corn, Meal, and Potatoes for a limited time. It., 8 guineas to Revd. Michrel Tisdal, for as many occasional Sermons. It., that the one hundred-part share of the profits of pipes and water, &c., to have been granted by the Mayor, &c., to Anth. Lane, dec., be granted to Mr. John Franklin, mer., his heirs, &c., paying a proportionable part of the expenses. That Henry Hervy Aston, Esq., High Sheriff of co. Chester (now in this ~ City), be presented with his freedom in a Sil~ ""t- It., that the state of the Case relative to Norton Parr, Francis Wise, and Roger Langley, the Lamp Contractors, with regard to the money appointed by Act of Parliament to be received by them for the use of the Corporation, be drawn up by the Clerk of the Council, and by him laid before the Re- corder, or such other Lawyer as he shall appoint, and that Mr. Wri.x.on, agent, wait on such lawyer in Dublin. It., 3 guineas to Mr. Sheriff Kent, for repairing ~veral dangerous holes in Castle Street and Paul Street, so as to make said streets passable until the next assizes. It., that a guinea a month be paid George Fuller, being indigent. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher.
