A:N EXTERTAINME:NT FOR TilE LORD LIEUTENANT.

supplying this City with water, be granted by the Mayor, &c., to Francis Carleton, Esq., his heirs, &c., for 999 years, said Carleton covenanting to pay a proportionable part of the expense attending the making, digging, and cutting said canals, &c, Whereas the North Bridge is greatly out of repair, ordered, that same be repaired, and that Mr. Burgess Browne and Connor be appointed to oversee the repairs. That 100 barrels of coal be bought for the Corporation. This day this Board signed a receipt for £1500 for widening Goulnaspurra, and that the receipt be given the Chamberlain to receive the money. That a bond be passed by the Mayor, &c., to Mr. Kevan Izod for 150 guineas, being the first subscription of 6 guineas for 25 shares for supplying the City with water, said bond payable with interest at 5 per cent~ It., That the late King's statue, the Cupola of the Exchange, and the Dial plates of the Clock be repa~red, and that Mr. Snowe oversee same. ~ That Lucius O'Brien, Esq., Cap. of His Maj. Ship the Solebay, now stationed l in this harbour, be presented with his freedom in a Silver Box; also Robert Fulton, Esq., brother-in-law to the Mayor, and William Snowe, eldest son of . Will, Snowe, gent., Dep. Clk. of the Council, freemen at large. That .£1 00 borrowed at 5 per cent. be applyed to the repairs of North BridgeJ the late King's statue, the Cupola, and Dial plates of the clock. " I dissent to Mr. Will. Snowe, jun., being referred to C. D. H., as he has an undoubted right to be made by the Council only, being his father's eldest son and of the full age of 21 years."-Tho.
