MRS. SHEARMAN'S BEQUEST TO THE PARISH OF S. PETER.

' - Ordered, that Ald. Newman, Millerd, and Wetherall be a committee to \) inspect <;i_q__ulnas.Eurra, and have a plan drawn of same, and to take an account of the rents payable thereout. That £150 be paid the overseers of the Mayoralty House, for further prosecution of same ; It., That £50 left by the will of Mrs. Shearman for the support of a Charity School in the parish of S. Peter be taken from the Trustees of said Char~ty by the Corporation, at 5 per cent. That £50 be paid Timothy Hughes, ironmonger, for work done at the Mayoralty House. That any five of the Committee appointed 22 July last, to carry out the Act for supplying the City with water, be a sufficient board, instead of eight mentioned in said order. I That £12 19s. 3d. be paid John Sullivan, gent., one of the Coroners, ~expense in feeing lawyers and prosecuting Robt. Murray for the murc.ler J of Capt. Rea; It., £21 7s. 10d. to Mrs. Mary Bussey for candles. That Lionel Becher W estropp, mer., having served Ald. W estropp, be admitted free. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. French and Lawton ; Alden. Parker, Wes- tropp, Millard, Busteed, Philpott, Wetherall, Swete, J. Smith, J. Wrixon; Newman, Franklin, Mr. Jones, C. S., and Mr. Recorder as adviser of the Council. 21 Oct., 1767. Busteed produced his accounts of Waterbayliffship, from 29 Sep., 1766, to 29 Sep., 1767, whereby it appears he paid the Chamber- lain £14117s. 8d. over and above his salary, and other expenses. That an application be made to Parliament for £5000 for purchasing certain houses and ground in Goulnaspurra, for enlarging the passage and making a commodious street from North Bridge to Mallow Lane and Far-
