BLACKROCK CASTLE TO DE SET DY PUBLIC CANT.

Morrison, for timber furnished to 4 l\1ay inst. ; and that the sum of £203 lOs. 3!d. is due to Timothy Hughes, ironmonger, for sundries to 5 May, inst.; and also £28 19s. Bel. is due to Samuel and George Beale for sundries to 27 Nov., which report this Board doth agree to. It., That £450 be borrowed from Mr. Stephen Denroch, at 5 per cent., and that the Mayor, &c., execute a bond. It., That £200 of said sum be paid the overseers for building the Mayoralty House ; It., £200 to Messrs. James and Ebenezer Morrison, part payment of their account for timber ; and the remaining £50 to Timothy Hughes, iron monger, part payment of his account. That Mr.l\fayor, in the name of the Board, apply to the gentleman ap- pointed for building the Mayoralty House, to request their fw·ther care in overseeing said work. It., That £4 9s. be paid Messrs. Robt. and John Wrixon, being a premium of 2 shillings the quarter on 89 kilderkins of wheat imported and sold by them in this City, from Rotterdam, on 4 April last. It., That £21148. be paid Thomas Trant; mercht., being a premium of 2 shillings the quarter on 217 quarters of wheat imported by him into this City, from Dunkirk, in March last. It., That a reward of £60 be paid the person who shall convict the first three of the persons who were concerned in the late riotous assembly in the liberties of this City, by the journeymen weavers. Ordered, that Blackrock Castle be set by public Cant for 7 years from 25 next _July, reserving the use thereof for the Corporation on every 1 Aug. \ / and every other day the Corporation shall think proper for their entertain- 2\ ments, giving the tenant four days notice. Present - Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Travers·; Alden, Newman, Westropp, Millerd, Busteed, Philpott, 'Vethcrall, Franklin, Wrixon, Owgan, and Mr. Burg. Browne. 29 May, 1767. This day this Board took·into consideration the agreement made by the committee for building the Mayoralty House of this City, with Mr. Davis Dukart, and by an entry 6 May, 1765, said Dukart on that day produced a plan of said Mayoralty House, and reported the same would cost about £2000., said committee considered the plan, and ordered that a sum not
