Whereas the City of Cork has lately been infested with a gang of robbel'S, ordere1, that if any of said persons shall discover his accomplices and prosecute them to conviction, he shall not only be entitled to his pardon but be paid a reward of 50 guineas. That a reward of 10 guineas be paid to any person who within three mouths shall convict any street-robLer, o:r house-breaker in this City or liberties. Whereas on the night of the 31 Jan. the Sentinel at the Bridewell was knocked down and dangerously wounded by some persons unknown, or· dered, that a reward of 20 guineas be paid any person who shall discover any of them ; and in case any of the said offenders shall convict he shall receive his pardon and the above reward. That .30 barrels of Coal be bought by Ebenezer Sargent for the Corpo. ration. That £3 5s. be paid George Busteed, for: printing-work; It., 10 guirleaa to George Fuller, burgess, he and his wife and family being in great poverty and distress ; It., 30 guineas to Mr. Geo. Carleton, so much laid out by him for a Gold box, in which the freedom of the City was presented to Lord Beauchamp ; It., a pension of £20 a year to the widow of Ald. Travers. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding Alden. Jackson, Newman, Westropp, Millerd, Wrixon, Busteed, Philpott, Swete, Bury, J. Wrixon, J. Smith, Owgan, Hodder, and Mr. Browne. 24 March, 1767. Ordered, that Mr. Mayor, Mr. Sher. Travers and Harding, Ald. Westropp and Mr. Browne, with those of the C. D. H., be a committee to examine the accounts of the gentlemen appointed to oversee the building of the Mayoralty house, and report.
