GREAT SCARCITY OF WHEAT IN THIS CITY.

Busteed produced the accounts of his Waterbailiffship, from 29 Sep., 1765, to 29 Sep., 1766, with his affi.david affixed, whereby it appears he paid into the hands of the Chamberlain £156 3s. lOd. over and above his salary, and other expenses. Ordered, that a Memorial to their Excellencys' the Lords Justices, relative to the present scarcity of wheat in this City, and the likelyhood of much greater for the ensueing spring, praying relief, be sent to the Right Ron. John Rely Hutchinson, one of our representatives, desiring him. to wait on their Excellencies to have something done for the relief of the inhabitants of this City. T~at £104 12s. 3d. be paid Messrs. Dennis and Penrose, for timber, &c., for the new building at Blackrock Castle; It., £6 l2s. 5!d. to Roger Gul- din, Corporation mason, work done; It., £2 9s. to Cor\\\ Sullivan, Book- seller, for Bolingbroke's Abridgement of the Statutes, and five appendices; It., £176 3s. 9!d. to Messrs Robt. and John Wrixon, for sheet lead and scaffold ropes for the Mayoralty House ; It., £200 to the overseers, for building the Mayoralty House, to be laid out in the further prosecution of the work. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers and Harding ; Alden. Owgan, Wes- tropp, Millerd, Wrixon, Busteed, Swete, Franklin, J. Smith, J. Wrixon, Bury, and Mr. Browne. 18 Dec., 1766. Ordered, that a premium of 2 shillings the quarter be paid on the first \ 3000 quarters of wheat that shall be impo:rted from foreign ports into this City, and sold therein between 1 Feb. and 1 of May next. , I That the Hon 1.
