798 APPLICATION TO OPEN A PASSAGE TO RAMAN AND PIKE'S MARSHES.

J That the Hon. John Lysaght be presented with his freedom in a Silver t Box. ·. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. WiUcocks; Alden. Newman, Owgan, Wes- tropp, Millerd, _Wrixon, Philpott, Swete, Franklin, John Wrixon, Bury, and Mr. Denroch, C. S. 7 Dec., 1765. Ordered, that 20 guineas be paid Thomas Holland and William Adams, Master builders, expenses, &c., in going to Dublin to prove the allegations of the Corporation to Parliament for money to rebuildS. Peter's church and to open a passage to IJ:aman's and Pike's Marshes. That a Memorial in the .name of the Mayor, &c., to Parliament for a regulation of the tradesmen and artificers of this kingdom on the plan of that from the City of Limerick be sent our representatives. That £3 6s. 3d. be paid Andrew Coleman for tyler's work; It., £11 to the Coroners for as many inquests since 11 April last. It is the opinion of this board that a.ti act of Parliament made in Great Britain for the payment of Coroners wou~d be of great service if enacted here. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Rowland and Willcocks ; Alden. Jackson, Newman, Parker, Westropp, Millerd, Busteed, Philpott, Bury, W etherall, and John W rixon. 19 Dec., 1765. This board being informed that the Committee appointed to build linneys for markets on the ground taken from Henry I~angford Browne, Esq., were obstructed on part of Sr. John Meade, Bart., who claims part of said ground,· ordered, that no more rent be paid Browne until he quits the Corporation in the possession of same. ~-, That £65 Os. 11d. be paid Wm. Reynolds for Gold and Silversmith's work from 9 July to 29 Nov. last.
