Wrixon, John Smith, Charles Denroch, C. S. William Parks, Esq., Mayor. 3 Oct., 1765. This day the Mayor and Sheriffs took their oaths as Common Council men. The late Mayor, Sheriffs, Alden. Westropp, Wrixon, Philpott, Mr. Bur- gess Izod and Hugh Jameson being a committee for settling the Public Accounts from 29 Sep., 1763, to 29 Sep., 1764, and report that a balance of £191 4s. 3!d. is due to Mr. Carleton from the Corporation to said date. Whereas an anonymous letter was on the night of the 1 Oct. thrown into the house of Mr. Ed wd. Creed, of Mallow Lane, clothier, threatening to take away his life, ordered, that £50 be paid to any person who within three months shall prosecute the author of said letter. I That Edward Herbert, Esq., M.P. for Ludlow, and Edwd. Herbert, Jun., X Esq., M.P. for Tralee, be presented with their freedom in silver boxes. That £30 be paid Mr. James Chatterton, on his promise not to apply for any further sum : It., £7 18s. 3d. to Eugene Sweney, for printing-work from Nov., 1764, to May, 1765; It., £1 11s. 6}d. to Richard Evans, Exchange· Porter, for brooms, &c. Whereas an order of this Board, 19 June last, for prosecuting several persons for trespassiD:g on the Corporation ground at the Lough, by digging up and carrying away the soil. The Common Speaker this day informed the 13oard that the Freemen at large, assembled yesterday at a C. D. H., unanimously desired him to request this Board to have said order revoked ; referred it to the C. D. H.
