ADMISSION OF FREEMEN.
23 March, 1764. No business for want of sufficient numbers.-Wm. Snowe, Dep. Clk. of Council Present-Mr. Mayor ; Alden. Jackson, Owgan, W estropp, Crone, Busteed, Philpott, Swete, and Mr. Scott, C. S. 30 March, 1764. ~- That Marcus Patterson, Esq., one of the Lords Justices of Assize for the Munster Circuit, be presented with his freedom in a Silver box. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Coles; Alden. Westropp, Busteed, Philpott, .and Mr. Scott, C. S. 17 April, 1764. That William, eldest son of Rt. Hon. John Ponsonby, Speaker of the House of Commons, be presented with his freedom in a Silver box. That £108 18s. 11d. be paid Mr. wm. Snowe, Not. Pub., for law business, from Nov., 1760, to July, 1763. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Rowland; Alden. Jackson, Owgan, Westropp, Winthrop, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Philpott, Swete, Franklin, Wrixon, and Mr. Scott, C. S. 27 April, 1764. That £19 16s. 8d. be paid Mrs. Esther Holmes, for cloathing for the Bell- men and Exchange Porter. Valentine, eldest son of William Johnson, mercht., dec.; Phillip Bennett, apothecary, having served Charles Waddington, do., and Collville Moore, Esq., Collector of Excise for the district of Cork, to be freemen at large. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Rowland and Coles; Alden. Newman, Owgan, Westropp, Millerd, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Philpott, Bury, Franklin, John Wrixon, and Mr. Scott, C. S. 16 May, 1764. That £26 be paid for as many inquests from 8 Aug. last to 3 April last.· That the Revd. John Meade, Clk., eldest son of Rev. Wm. Meade, dec., late Dean of Corke; Christopher Waggett, mercht., having served William Waggett, mercht., be admitted free.
