A PLAN FOR A MAYORALTY HOUSE ON HAMAN'S MARSH.
Present-Mr. Mayor; Alden. Jackson, Winthrop, Hodder, Swete, and Mr. E. Scott, C. S. 13 Aug., 1763. Ordered, that the petty customs of the North and South Shambles, standings outside North and South gates, petty customs of root, potatoe, fowl, butter, frize, handle cloth, &c., be set up by public cant on the Exchange 10 Sep., no standings to be on any of the Bridges, Main Street, North and South Gates, or in any of the streets or quarters within: the gates. Ordered, that a Mayoralty House be built for the habitation of the Mayors of this City, on the ground on Haman's Marsh, expenses out of the revenues of the City, and that Mr. Mayor, Sheriff Travers, Alden. Newman, W etherall, with those of the C. D. H., be a committee for approving of a proper plan for carrying out same. That Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers and Lane, and Alden. W etherall view a piece of vacant ground adjoining the Potatoe Quay belonging to Mr. Browne, and report whether same will answer for a root, fruit, and potatoe market. That £1 13s. 9d. be paid Richd. Bagwell, painter, for painting the Cor- poration Gallery inS. Peter's Church. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers and Lane; Alden. Jackson, Newman, Parker, Owgan, Westropp, Crone, Wrixon, Philpott, Wetherall, Franklin, and Mr. Scott, C. S. 13 Sep., 1763. No business for want of a sufficient number.-Wm. Snowe, Dep. Clk. of Council. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers and Lane ; Ald.en. Busteed, Philpott, Wetherall, Crone, and Mr. Scott, C. S. 16 Sep., 1763. That a salary of £60 be paid the Waterbailiff for one year, to receive the Mayor's dues, account quarterly, deducting the expenses of a Deputy, and give security. " That £14 19s. 7d. be paid Mr. Henry Rugge, vintner, expenses of the / entertainment at Blackrock Castle; It., £9 7s. 2d. to the Mayor, expenses
