Corporation are ready to deliver back said arms, and praying the bond may be given up. That £43 6s. Sd. Messrs. Lawton and Carleton, for 400 cutlasses; It., £7 5s. 2d., to John Minton, for a Guard Room ; It., £19 Is. 9d. to Henry Rugge Vintnor, for an entertainment at Blackrock, last August ; It., £2 Ss. 4!d. to the late Mayor, for vo~es and newspapers supplyed by James Lyons, gent., one of the six clerks in the SecJS. Office; It., £13 to the Coroners for as many inquests; It., £10 to Mr. John Newenham, Clerk to the Mayor, for services done. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Lane; Alden. Jackson, Parker, Owgan, Wes- tropp, Winthrop, Bury, Crone,. Philpotts, Swete, and Willcocks, C. S. 31 Jan., 1763. No business for want of a sufficient number. - wm. Snowe, Dep. Clk. of the Council. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers and Lane ; Alden. Parker, Owgan, Westropp, Wrixon, Philpott, Bury, Francklin, and Mr. Willcocks, C. S. 4 Feb., 1763. Ordered, that 20 new coal barrels be bought by Ald. Busteed; It., 16s. to Mr. Boyle Travers for a looking-glass for the Officer's Guard Room; It., 20 guineas to Mr. Will. Snowe, for attendance as Clerk of Array to the Militia in the Mayoralty of Ald. Franklin ; It., £24 16s. Id. to Ebenezer Sargent, City Overseer, for tyles, mason's work, coal, &c., from 15 Dec., 1761, to 22 Jan. last. That no sallary for the future be paid the Capt. of Halberdiers. That £14 16s. 3d. be paid TimY. Hughes, for ironwork from 19 Sep.,1760, · to 10 Aug., 1762 ; It., 11 guineas to Revd. Mich 1• Tisdal, Corporation Chap- lain, for as many Sermons preached before the Corporation from Election- day, 1761, to 5 Nov. last. Present -Mr. Mayor, Sher. Travers ; Alden.
