That Thomas Tenison, Esq., His Maj. Prime Sergeant and one of the Justices of Assize, be presented with his freedom in a Silver box. Whereas a set of players have lately come to this City, and have printed bills for acting on Monday night next, without asking the Mayor's per- mission, It is the opinion of this Council that Mr. Mayor ought to prevent their acting until they apply for his permission and publish same in their bills. That £20 be paid Mr. Mayor for an entertainment at Blackrock on 1 Aug. ;. It., £8 to Mr. Snowe, one of the coroners, for 8 inquests from 2 Oct., 1760, to 12 June last; It., £2 10s.1d. to Mr. Mayor, expenses of sending expresses to the Men of War at Kinsale and Cove, giving an account of a French Privateer being off the Harbour of Cork, and expenses of a guard of soldiers for two days at the last Cork Fair at Fair Hill. Philpott, Bury. 26 .Aug., 1761. This day Mr. Mayor elect was sworn to keep the secrets of the Council. Ordered, that £15 18s. 6d. be paid Saml. Hobson, Esq., for Newspapers and Votes supplied by Edm 4 • Browning to 24 J nne ; It., eight guineas to Savage French, Esq., the price of a horse and truckle, his property, that was pressed to carry soldiers' baggage to Youghal, where said horse and truckle were lost. Ordered, that the Gateage tolls, Fish Market, Corn Market, North and South Milk Market dues, be set by public cant on the Exchange to tl•e 94-2
