fees, Officers of Rolls Office fees, &c., for pleading in the Court of Excheq. the Charter of King Charles I., whereby all fines and forfeitures are granted by the Crown to this Corporation. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding; .Alden. Owgan, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Hodder, Harding, Bury, Reily, Philpott, and Lane, C. S. 5 June, 1761. Whereas Mr. Mayor hath been served with four orders forth of His Maj. Court of King's Bench at the prosecution of Richard Bourke, Geo. Smith, John Stack, and John Lynch, to show cause why attachments should not issue against him for committing said persons on their refusal to pay quarterage, ordered, that the expense be paid out of the Corporation revenues, and that Mr. Hoare take proper care of the causes. That the ground and concerns of Mr. John Coghlan on Tuckey's quay, which he holds under a fee farm lease from Christ. Tuckey, Esq., be purchased from said Coghlan at 20 years' purchase, amounting to £313, which he agrees to take. That Mr. John Coghlan be admitted a freeman at large, he having gene- rously agreed to sell to the Corporation his interest on Tuckey's Quay. That a Memorial be prepared in the name of the.Mayor, &c., to their Excellencies the Lords Justices, to return them thanks for their order sent to Lieut. Gov. Molesworth not to molest the collectors of the Corporation in doing their duty, and to complain of committing the Mayor's Constable for two hours, and for the garrison orders he gave out, in very offensive words, reflecting on the Corporation. Present- Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding; Alden. Fuller, Owgan, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Philpott, Bury, Swete, and Mr. Travers. 16 June, 1761. Ordered, that the Representatives of Doctor Tuckey, dec., have liberty to build their houses at the South side of Tuckey's lane, pursuant to a plan now before the Council. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher.
