memorial to their Excellencies, setting forth the case, con1plaining of tho conduct of said Molesworth and praying redress, and that copies of Moles- worth's notice and letter to the Mayor be sent with said memorial, that Councillor Verling draw the draft of said memorial, and the Recorder peruse same, and that it be sent to John Rely Hutchinson, Esq., one of our repre- sentatives, to be laid before the Lords Justices. That the Honl. Philip Tufton Percival, son of Rt. Hon. the Earl of Egmont, and Capt. of H. M. ship Dover, in the harbour of Cork, be presented with his freedom in a Silver Box. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Owga.n; Alden. Jackson, New- man, Fuller, Owgan, Wrixon, Crone, Busteed, Reily, Swete, Philpott, Dury, Hodder, and Lane, C. S. 19 May, 1761. Ordered, that Charles L~.~sq., M.D., and M.P. for Dublin, and Philip Tisdal, Esq., His Maj. AttY.-General, be presented with their freedom in Silver boxes. On the application of the.clothiers of this City to the Council, that several French privateers have of late cruised in the Bristol Channel, and that a proper Ship of War would be wanting to protect the trade of this City, ordered, that a memorial in the name of the Mayor, &c., be directed to the Lord Lieut., praying a proper ship to cruise from the harbour of Cork to the Island of Lundy, to protect the trade of this City. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding; Alden. Owgan, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Hodder, Harding, Philpott, Swete, Bury, and Lane, C. S. 30 May, 1761. Ordered, that Alden. Westropp, Wrixon, Philpott, Bury, and Rob'. Travers be a committee, with those whom the C. D .. H. appoint, for settling the public accounts to 29 Sep. last. That 45 guineas be paid Rob".
