That the seat next Mrs. Maylor's be fitted up for Ald. Busteed, who gives up his present accommodation to the Cor- poration, and that Mr. Mayor, Ald. Wrixon, Busteed and Dean Goldsmith be a Committee for altering said Galleries and putting up the Organ. That 188. be paid Mr. Mayor for the ringers of Shandon Bells, the day that Admiral Hawk's victory over the French fleet was celebrated in this City. Present--Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Jackson, Fuller, Owgan, Wes- tropp, Crone, Wrixon, Busteed, Reily, Harding, Parker, and Farren. 17 Dec., 1759. That a Petition to t~e H. C., in the name of the Mayor, &c., praying that the weighmaster's employment for weighing butter, tallow, hides, &c., be granted to the Corporation at the expiration of the present Act of Parlia- ment, and that the profits, &c., after payment .of the deputies' salary, &c., be applied for the support of the workhouse of said City, that the petition be sent to our members and such members as are freemen of this City. That the Freedom of this City be presented in a Gold box to the Right )( Hon. William Pitt, Esq., one of H. M. Principal Secretaries of State, in testimony of the just and deep sense we have of his wise, good, and faithful services to his king and country. That £4 38. 1d. be paid Thomas Clements, mason, for work done by him for the Corporation; also £8 118. 7d. to Rob'. Wrixon, Esq., for tables and scales ; also £15 08. 4id. to Isaac Bussy for candles.
