That £11 98. 7d. be paid l!r. 'Valter Palliser for Xews Papers and Yotes, from 7 Sep., 1752,. to 7 Sep., 1753. That the Right Tiev. the Bishop of Cloyne and Hon. James O'Brien, Esq., Coil of tllis City, be presented with their freedom in silver boxes. 7 That £19 48. be paid .Ald. Smith, for beer supplied the army on State days, from 22 Oct., 1753, to 22 June, 1754.. That £2 10s. be paid ::l!r. ::liaurce Horne, City Collector's Clerk, for lists o.f imports supplied. That £14 16s. 4!d. be paid l!r. Wm. Snowe, AttY., for law business. That 5s. 5d. be paid Sher. Cossart, paid by him to a party of soldiers that attended him last Assize to apprehend a prisoner. The above Committee report that they stated the accounts of Ald. Dan. Crone, receiver of the gateage to 30 July, 1753, and that he owes a balance of .£46 88. 7 d. Ordered, that they view the ground on the X. of Tuckey's quay, and treat with Dr. Tuckey about the sale thereof, and report. Present -lir. ::l!ayor, both Sheriffs ; Alden. Croker, Lavit, Winthrop, Westropp, Wrixon, Crone, llusteed, Smith; lli. Travers and Parks, C. S., first sworn to keep the secrets of the Council 13 July, 1754. That ~Ir. liayor, Alden. Owgan, W estropp, W rixon, and Rob. Travers, Esq., be a committee to audit the public accounts to 30 June last. Agreed that it will be of advantage to the Corporation that the Gateage be set by public cant. Present---lir. l!ayor, both Sheriffs ; Alden. Croker, Owgan, Westrop, Lavit, Wrixon, Busteed, Smith; lli. Travers, Parks, C. S., and Ald. Crone. 31 July, 1754. That the Gateage be set for one year by public cant to the highest. bidder; that he have a lease executed to him in open Court for that time, before executing which he pay a quarter-part of said rent, and shall give as security for the remaiuuer two solvent inhabitants carrying on business, that they perfect three joint bonds each of double the sum, first payable 29 Dec. next, each other quarterly afterwards in succession.
