THE CITY CHARTERS CARRIED TO DUTIUN.

That £84 14~. Oid. be paiJ 1\fr. 'Viii. Bull, attorney, his costs at the prosecution of Richd. Ell, a soldier, against the present Mayor in the King's Bench. T11at £7 7s. 1d. be paid Mr. Anthony Lane, Attorney, and £5 18s. 7d. to Mr. Wm. Snowe, Attorney, bills of costs in aforesaid prosecution. That Saml., havjng served his father, Richd. Pike, Mercht., be admitted free. That 15 guineas be paid Ald. Robt. Wrixon, his expenses at Dublin on the petition of Geo. Fuller and others against the first Election of the present Mayor and Sheriffs ; also same to Sir J. Freke, Bart., for same purpose. That £19 be paid Francis Carleton, Esq., one of the Sheriffs, so much advanced by him to Robt. Fulton, gent., summoned to attend the Privy Council, a witness in the Petn. of George Fuller against the first Election of the presept Mayor. . That Mr. Mayor, Ald. Farren, Ald. Winthrop, and Ald. Lavit be a com- mittee to repair the Exchange building inside and outside. . That 10 guineas be paid Mr. Willm. Snowe, his expenses to Dublin on the Pet. of Fuller against the Mayor, besides the money advanced him in D~blin, having carried up the Charters of this City at a great expense. Present--Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Croker, Farren, Newman, Westropp, Winthrop, Lavit, Crone, Holmes,_Wrixon; Mr. Travers, Bussy, C. S., and the Recorder as adviser ·or the Council. 29 Aug., 1752. ,This day Mathias Smith, Esq., Mayor Elect, was sworn to keep the secrets of the Council. That Alden. Owgan, Westropp and Wrixon, three of the Committee appointed to audit the Public accounts, delivered in said accounts from 29 Sep., 1744, to 1 Jan., 1750, except the credit side of the Chamberlain's accounts, no vouchers in discharge of the debit of his account being produced by him to said Committee. That these accounts be referred to the C. D. H., and entered in the Ledger if approved of. · That the Chamberlain, in a fortnight from this day, make up his accounts from 29 Sep., 1744, to 1 Jan., 1750.
