Webb and Sweet, Ald. Croker and Crone. 23 .April, 1750. Whereas a suit commenced last term by Danl. Callaghane against Peter Tivy, late Master of the Masons,.for being wrongfully imprisoned on account of quarterage, ordered, that Mr. Hoare attend the Recorder for advice, and the defence be paid by the Corporation. · Present- Mr. Mayor, Sher. Webb, the ReC',order; Alden. Atkins, 1rfillerd, Farren, Fuller, Owgan,.Taylor, Millerd, Jun., and Crone. 19 July, 1750. Whereas Hugh Millerd, Sen., William-Taylor, Ald., and. Robt. Dring, Esq., were appointed to settle Mr. John Maunsell's accounts-relating to Skiddy's and Bretridge's Alms Houses; also Ald. Croker's account relating to S. Stephen's Hospital They report to the Mayor, &c., that on inspecting Mr. Maunsell's ace'. they find he has charged £100 as paid to Mr. Aug. Carre, fUc., for feeding the poor in the Mayoralty of Ald. Patker, which sum we think he paid in his own wrong; it also appears that there is a receipt of said Aug. Caorre in the hands .of said Maunsell, for .£48, being due 83
