UEGULATIO~S RESPECTING THE LAMP ACT.

Ordered, that Mr. Mayor apply to our Representatives to obtain an act for erecting lights in this City, and that a power should be vested in the Mayor, &c., to appoint a person to erect Lamps for this City, that this Council may appoint any sum not exceeding 15s. each year for providing and feeding each Lamp which they shall put up in the Streets, Quays, Lanes, and Suburbs of this City, and that said sum be applotted by five persons to be appointed by the Vestry in each parish, to be raised on the inhabitants of such parish, with this restriction, that no rate upon· any one house shall exceed five shillings, nor any one house less than one shilling, sueh vestry to meet once every year on the first Monday after the 24 June, to elect said applotters, and in case of failure of such Vestry to meet, the Mayor and any four Aldermen shall choose such applotters, also that by said act no power be given to raise or distrain any more than one year's arrears, and Mr. Mayor is further desired to correspond with the city of Limerick and Waterford to know their sentiments with respect to their joining in such Lamp Act. ~ That £4 1s. 2d. be paid Hignell Keeling to complete his bill for the entertainment at Dlackrock 26 Aug. last. That £6 16s. 6d. be paid Mr. James Crooke for lodging Arthur Blencr Hasset, Esq., one of the Justices of Assize on last circuit. This day Mr. Hugh Millerd was sworn into the Council in the office of Common Speaker.
