526 THE CHARTERS TO BE PRODUCED TO PROVE THE RIGHT OF THE RIVER.

That Mr. Jehoshaphat Huleatt be paid for 60 Barrels of coal. That Mr. Thomas Daunt's proposal for the building of the Meat and !tiilk Market on the ground near the Barracks be agreed to. He shall be paid, according to his proposals, the sum of £140, to- be paid forthwith the sum of £40 in part of said sun1, the remainder as the Overseers shall direct. That Mr. Robt. Hoare do inquire for several books and papers that were in Mr. Ferrie's hands or Mr. Browne's that belong or relate to this Corpora- tion, and report. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. N ewenham ; Alden. Delahoide, Morley, Perry, Bennett, Cramer, Atkins, Broclesby ; Mr. Fuller, Engaine, Pembrock, Jack- son, Bousfield, C. S. 9 July, 1733. Mr. Danl. Crone sworn Common Speaker. Ordered, that the persons who rescued the Cattle that were taken last Friday upon an execution at the suit of Edwd. Butler against Tho. Bernard by Sher. Newman, be prosecuted at the expense of this Corporation, and that the Mayor do issue a proclamation for £10 for every person convicted of the rescue of the cattle on 7th inst., and £5 for every person convicted of the rescue on the 6 .inst .. ~ That Col Edwd. Wentworth, Commander of His Maj. forces in Cork, be ' presented with his freedom in a Silver box. That £30 be paid the Mayor on account of extraordinary expenses. Present-Mr. Mayor, Shers. Newenham and Newman; Alden. Delahoide, Morley, Terry, Broclesby, Bennett, Cramer, Millerd; Mr. Carey, Jackson, Danl. Crone, C. S. 27 July, 1733. That £8 be expended at Blackrock Castle, 1 Aug., for an entertainment to hold a court for the Conservation of the river. That the Charters be delivered to the Towne Clerk to attend the Co. Court on the tryal between His Maj. and Lewis, and in case the right of the river be brought in question it may be produced, and that Mr. Hoare do employ Council to assist the Corporation's right to the River. That- Dansey, Esq., Commander of His Maj. Ship Line, now in this harbour, be presented with his freedom in a silver box.
