23 Dec., 1727. That Edward 'Vorth, Esq., be presented with his freedom of this City in a handsome silver box. That William, son of Thomas Xewenham, Esq., dec., be presented with his freedom. That Joseph Austen be paid £11 2s. 7d. for clothing for the Blue Coats anl Keeper of the Exchange. That ~fr. James Browne do attend the 1\Iayor and Constables of the Staple for an order to distrain such tenants of S. Stephen's Hospital as are 1n arrears. Present-1\fr. ~fayor, both Sheriffs; .Alden. Delahoid, Phillip~, Morley, Broclesby, Cramer, Atkins; 1tir. Croker, Foucault, Austin. 2 Jan., 1727. That £23 1-!s. IOd. Le paid by ~Ir. James Browne out of the rents of S. Stephen's Hospital to Thomas Browne, Esq., for druggs, &c., supplied for the use of said Hospital. That Mr. Jtiayor be reimbursed the Expense he shall be at in complying with the order of the Hon•. the Committee of Priviledges and Elections dated 5 Dec. past with which he and the Sheriffs were served.
