DUTY ON COAL AND CULM TO BE CO'NTINUED.
26 July, 1725. On the petition of Richard Rogers, apothecary, praying leave to build a quay before his house on the North East part of Dunscombe's Marsh, ordered, that said Rogers have leave to build his said quay even with Ald. Crone's quay, and that he keeps the buildings which he shall make even with the foundations of said Ald. Crone's buildings. That Harding Parker, gent., be admitted a freeman at large of this City. That John Dixon Hammond, Esq., be presented with his freedom of this City. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sheriff Pembrock; Alden. Crone, Phillips, Allen, Morley, Terry, Pearse; Mr. Wilson, Croker, Foucault, Atkins.
30 Aug., 1725. That John Addis, Jun., be admitted a freeman.
Present-Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Crone, Delahoid, Phillips, Terry, Lavit, Pearse; Mr. Wilson, Morrison, Addis, Austin, Atkins (postea), Mr. Mayor Elect, Ald. Morley. 10 Sep., 1725. Ordered this day, that the above order of 26 July not being confirmed by a sufficient number of Council and no Sheriff present, be void. Tho. Pembrock, Row. Delahoid, Rich. Phillips, Ph. French, A. French, Fra. Rowland. 20 Sep., 1725. That the Mayor put the City Seal to a petition this day read in Council praying a continuance of the Act for laying a small duty on coal and culm imported in this City towards finishing several charities mentioned in the petition. That Robt. I~ock be admitted into the Blue Boys Hospital, recommended by Ald. Broclesby at the instance of Ald. Allen. That J n.
