That .£33 13s. 8d., for candles supplied the Corporation by Mr. John Hoare be paid him. That the dung near Councillor Mead's new houses be removed and a demise be made to Mr. Mead of a passage between his houses with a saving to the Corporation for a quay and ground joining thereto. That £3 9s. (in addition to a former sum) be paid Counc". Bennett for his trouble and care in Corporation affairs. That Sam. Wilson, late Chamberlain, pay the ballance which, he says, remains in his hands. That the Hon. James J effryes, Governor of this City, be presented with his freedom in a silver box. Present-Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs ; Alden. Crone, Phillips, Morley, Terry, Wilson, Com. Speaker; Mr. Croker, Brocklesby, Foucault. 3 Dec., 1722. That £100 12s. lld. be paid Mrs. Pennington for the several entertain- ments following, viz., King's Coronation Day, Entertainment to Lord Shannon, the King's birth day, the King's Accession, being 1 Aug. That 46s. be paid Widdow Lambley for a large table for the Council Chamber. That the paving of the street from the Corner of the Exchange to the corner of the Bridewell be done at the Corporation expense, and that Mr. Woodrufe take care to have every breach in said pavement repaired, as well as all other places under the charge of the Corporation. (On margin- Paving of Castle Street.) All payments shall be made according to the priority of the orders ten- dered. That Mrs. Lyne's bills for the entertainments in Ald. Lavit's time be re- feiTed to Ald. Morley, Sheriff Atkins, and Mr. Foucault. That Revd. Mr. Somerville be paid 50s. for visiting North Gaol. On the report of Ald. Morley, &c., Mrs. Lyne to be paid £52 3s. 4d. for the entertainments. That one guinea be paid Mr. Boyle Davies for preachin<T the sermon on ~ the day of swearing the Mayor. That Mr. Sher. Atkins and Mr. Webber go to the persons concerned in the lamps, to declare the trust reposed in them, and to give them notice.
