PETER DEA~E TO BE PAID FOR LIGHTING THE LAMPS.

Present-Mr. Mayor, Mayor Elect, Mr. Recorder, Sher. Mansell; Alden. Delahoid, Ab. French, Phillips, Hoare; Mr. Masters, W1lson.

5 Sep., 1720. That Mr. Thos. Lethum be paid 3li. 3s., so much paid by him into the Exchequer for the Corporation when he was sub-sheriff. That 10li. 8s. 4d. be paid Mr. Line, charges of an entertainment on the King's birth day, and also lOli. 8s. 10d. for another entertainment on the King's accession to the Crown. That Mr. Mayor affix the Corporation seal to Mr. Austin's lease of the Alms houses. That Peter Deane be paid for lighting the lamps as formerly, according to the time he lighted the same. That the following persons be admitted into S. Stephen's Hospital. George Kennedy, recommended by Ald. Francklyn; Wm. Coppinger, by Jo. Morrison; Ben. Lego, by Ald. Crone (tho' not his turn now); Richd. Bagwell, by Ald. Perdrian. Present-Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs, Mayor Elect; Alden. Crone, Franck- lyn, Delahoid, Hoare, Phillips, Perdrian, Ab. French, Lambley ; Mr. Masters, Wilson, Brocklesby, Com. Speaker. 18 Oct., 1720. Joseph Lavit, Esq., Mayor. Mr. Sheriffs Croker and Foulks sworn as members of the Common Council during their being Sheriffs. That Mr. Mayor's Sallary be 205li. as usual. That Mr. Mayor do provide an entertainment on the King's Coronation day as usual That the Overseers of S. Stephen's Hospital inquire into the original state of the case relating to the hospital, and report.
