NO STANDINGS FOR SALE OF GOODS TO BE ROUND 'l'HE EXCHANGE.

Present-Mr. Mayor, Mr. Sher. Brocklesby; Alden. Crone, Dring, Knapp, Delahoid, Francklyn, Hoare, Lambley, Perdrian, Phillips, Allen, Ph. French; Mr. Masters, Wilson, and Smith. 17 June, 1719. That Alden. Chartres, Francklyn, Hoare, Perdrian, Lambley settle the Waterbailiff's fees as mentioned in the lease to Mr. Jn. Hodder, and when settled they shall be printed in a docket, and ;f Mr. Hodder does not settle with the Corporation they will appoint John Woodmason Water- bailiff. That 2li. Os. 7 d. be paid for the funeral expenses of Wm. Allin, late Sword-bearer. That 5li. 17s. 11d. be paid for the funeral expenses of Mr. Tho. Berry, late Burgess of this City. Whereas 100li. is by some charitable person offered by the hands of the Revd. Mr. Tho. Maul to the Corporation for the poor of Skiddy's Hospital, ordered, that the same be received, principal and interest to be applied accordingly, and the Mayor put the Common Seal to an instrument for that purpose. John Terry and Joseph Lavit to be Common Council men in the room of Tho. Walker and Math. Smith, dec. That the several boys following be admitted into the Blue Boys' Hospital by the following recommendations- J' · Hugh Burke by Ald. Ab. French, Tho. Hughes by Ald. Lambley. I Thos. Burchill by Ald. Phillips (Mr. Masters having recommended in Ald. Phillips' turn). ~ John Fling by Ald. Phil. French, Barthol. Roston by Ald. Hoare. Present-Mr. Mayor, two Sheriffs; Alden. Crone, Chartres, Whiteing, }.,rancklyn, Hoare, Perdrian, Phillips, Lambley, Ab. French; Mr. Wm. Hawkins, Com. Speaker, S. Wilson. 23 June, 1719. Ordered, that there be no standings for the sale of goods round the Exchange, and that all standings about or near the Exchange be removed to make the public passage near the Exchange for coaches and carriages more conveniellt.
