GEORGE RYE TO HAVE LIBERTY TO RAISE HIS QUAY.

Mas- ters, S. Wilson, .A. French, M. Smith, J. Morley, Com. Speaker. 16 July, 1717. That George Rye, Esq., have libe~y to raise his quay as begun, provided the same be continued in a direct line to range with Mr. Randall Wills' quay and David Rochford's quay in the South river, provided there be no byway or passage left on said Rye's quay to have any communication with the South Gate, and that the said Rye's quay shall not exceed 4 feet in breadth on top. That the counterparts of Mr. Dunscombe's and Councr. Tuckey's leases be brought before next Council. That the Chamberlain call on Mr. Wm. Masters for the money due, rent of the gateage, and report. That Rob. Ash and Capt. Allin Browne be admitted free. That the Chamberlain accept from the Widdow of Tim. Murphy a lease made to him of one of the Shops in the Old Exchange, paying a quarter's rent. That Ald. Hoare have liberty to build out a quay in the same line and same range with Dav. Rochford's, Mr. Randall Wills, and Mr. Rye's quay. Present-Mr. Lambley, Mayor; Mr. Thos. Browne and Mr. Sevenhoven, Sheriffs ; Alden. Crone, Chartres, Delahoide, Hoare, Allin, French ; Mr. Wilson, French and Smith. 2 Sep., 1717. That Ald. Phillips, Mr. Masters, and Sher. Browne be added to Ald. Knapp and Ald. Browne, and that any two or more do go and view the lands and bounds of Drumcummer. That all the Chests belonging to the Corporation be brought into a place under the Music Chamber, to be made for that purpose, and that Mr. Wood- rufe see same done. · That the Mayor elect be paid 200li. for ensueing year. That M.r. Wilson give notice to the tenants of the Exchange whose leases are out to remove.
