Hoare be employed in the corporate land business; that he apply to 1\fr. Westberry in the Common Pleas for the business depending in that Court; that Mr. Webber write to Mr. Hoare about the business re- lating to petty duties between Ald. French and Mr. Halloran; that Mr. Hoare appoint Mr. Tisdall in the King's Bench to take up the law business of the Corporation, and Mr. Hamon in the King's Bench. That Ald. Phil French be appointed an Ald. of the Ward without South- gate. That Mr. Matthias Smith be admitted one of the Common Council That six guineas be allowed for the English news, four papers and the votes of Parliament. Present--Mr. Mayor, Mr. Sher. Sheares; Alden. Masters and Mr. Ja. Morrison do proceed in law against Mr. John Hamon in relation to Kyrle's quay and the encroach- ments made thereon by said Hamon, and that Mr. Webber do attend to them and have a consideration for his pains. That Saml. Woodrufe be bailed by Mr. Sam. Wilson on the ............... brought against said Woodrufe on the information brought by Mr. Hamon in the King's Bench, about Kyrle's quay and the Corporation indemnify Wilson. That John, son of ...... Moreland, be admitted one of the Blue Boys on the recommendation of Ald. Whiteing. That Richard Burnet, recommended by Mr. Tho. Newenham,_ is admitted in the room of· Robt. Powell.
