On application made hy }.fr. }.fayor for liberty to build a slip to tho channell from Bridewell out of the lane called 'Visdome's Lane in theNorth Eu.st quarter, ordered, that the place be viewed, and if not found too great a stop to boats, &c., passing up and down that channell, then the Mayor have liberty. That the Chamberlain pay 1\Ir. Saml. 'Vilson 9li. paid by him in defend- ing a suit iu the Chancery of the Court of Exclw<1uer by John Dwyer against Alden. Noblet Hogers and Phillips, the said Wilson and their ofliccrs, on account of matters alledged to have been done in the time of their being in the offices of 1\Iayor and Sheriffs, &c. Whereas iu the deed of fee-fam1e granted by the Corporation to Ald. Will. Roberts, dec., of a parcel of ground in the North Suburbs called Kyrlc's quay, there is a covenant for leaving a space of ten feet at least in breadth from the quay for a common passage all along from the house of Abraham Trotter on the 'Vest to the end of said quay, and as said passage is now obstructed by a gate and wall built by some person deriving under said Roberts, ordered, that said obstruction be removed by Alden. For divers reasons it is thought convenient to have the several chartcn now in the City Chest copied in a book in secretary hand, Mr. Tho. Browne to get same done.
