Crofts, who has one of the keys, being in town, ordered, that the key now with Ald. Crofts be put into the hands of .Ald. Goddard, who is constantly in town. That the papers and records in the wooden chest be examined and an account taken by the Mayor, .Alden. Crone, Goddard, Francklyn, Delahoyde, and Mr. Thomas Browne. .As the Beast market place of this City in the North Suburbs has been notoriously encroached on by Mr. Willm. Dunscombe, that there is not room for the market, ordered, that the best advice be taken from Alan Brodrick, Esq., while in the country, and Henry Luther, Esq., in order to restore the ground to the Corporation. Ordered, that a debt of 7li. 6s. 6}d., returned in arrear on John Dawly, and 2 pounds on the late holdings of Ald. Goddard, part of the ground of the New Exchange, due from .Alexander Mills, 2li. 10s. from Thomas Mitchell, brewer, dec., all desperate debts, be struck out of charge. Present-Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; .Alden. Crone, Chartres, Goddard, Morris, Whiting, Francklyn, Delahoyde ; Common Speaker, Mr. Perrie, Browne, Lambley, and Wilson. 23 Jan., 1711. That .Alden. Francklyn, Delahoydc, and Mr. Tho. Browne examine the account of Mr. Edward Webber and report. That the judgement entered up agamst Mr. Jonathan Perry, upon his bond given to this Corporation, be revived with all speed. Present--Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; .Alden. Crone, Chartres, Goddard, Whiting, Knapp, Cottrell, Francklyn, Delahoyde, Rogers, Jun.; Mr. Walker, Perrie, Browne, .Allen, and Wilson. 4 Feb., 1711. .Ald. Edward. Hoare sworn one of the Common Council That .Andrew Roche, mercht., having served .Ald. Will. Goddard, be admitted free. That .Alden. Whiting, Francklyn, Delahoyde, Noblet Rogers, and Hoare examine the account of Mr. Thomas Browne about building the New Exchange.
