31.2 THE LIBERTIES TO HAVE LIKE REMEDIES FOR ROBBERIES AS COUNTIES.
Present-Mr. 1tfayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Rogers, Crofts, Roberts, Goddard, Renew, and Whiting ; Common Speaker, Mr. Walker, 1\fr. Perrie, Mr. Browne. 13 ltf arch, 1704. Agreed, that their having a clause in the Act for the inhabitants in the liberties to have the like remedy upon account of robberies as they have in the counties at large, each liberty to be charged by itself. · Present-Mr. Mayor, both Sheriffs; Alden...Crone, Love, French, Chartres, and Roberts ; Common Speaker, Mr. Walker, Mr. Perrie, Mr. Browne. 7 May, 1705. On reading the petition of Christ. Tuckey, Esq., leave is given to him to build a stone bridge over the river between the City quay and said Tuckey's quay, the same to be made as high .and as broad as the bridge to the Marsh out of the City, to build at his own charge, and so keeping same during his life. Ordered, that Mr. Speaker and Mr. Browne consider the best .way to secure the passage of the water of the North Suburbs under the end of the north bridge, and see the work finished. That Alden. Crone, Chartres, Love, Roberts, Goddard, and Morris see the streets between the gates repaired. Mr. Thomas Browne is appointed to direct where the boats shall take up rubbish and ballast pursuant to the act for cleansing the Channel. That Mr. John Allen appear at next council to show his title to the strand between the North Bridge and Round Towar. That the roof of the flesh shambles be forthwith pointed. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher.
