North Bridge of the Great Marsh, provided same be done by the approba- tion of Ald. Crone, the present Sheriffs, and 1\!r. Thos. Browne, or any three of them, who are to oversee same be built at the charge of Dunscombe and for ever maintained at his charge and that of his heires. Present-Mr. 1\fayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Crone, Renew, Roberts, Goddard, Morris, Whiting, Common Speaker; Mr. Perrie, Mr. Browne. 7 Dec., 1703. Upon reading the Solicitor General's letter to the Mayor, concerning tho Act of Parliament about the Channel of this City, ordered, that whatever the Sol. Gen. shall lay out shall be repaid out of the City Uevenue. Present-1\Ir. 1\Iayor, both Sheriffs; Alden. Crofts, Chartres, French, Roberts, Goddard, Whiting, Common Speaker; 1\Ir. Walker, 1\Ir. Perrie, Mr. Browne. 21 Jan., 1703. Whereas there is occasion for 100 pounds ster., to pay the Hight Hon. the Earl of Rumney for the purchase of that part of the ground of the Barracks of the City, and as the Chamberlain is out of Cash, not having the ballauce of his last account ready, ordered, that 100 pounds of the money borrowed by Ald. James French be called in and paid said Earl of Uumney, on receipt of his grant and the obligation given by Ald. Goddard, Mayor, at the time of making the bargain, and that Ald. French, in consideration of said 100 pounds, be allowed 6 pounds per annum, until Michrelmas 1705, towards the purchase of his interest in the King's Old Castle; and as the Chamberlain, Jonathan Perrie, hath in his hands for several months the sum of 90 pounds, belonging to this City, which he disposed on his own private account and forced them to call in the said 100 pounds, ordered, that said Mr. Perrie, from ·the time the money was lent to Ald. French, shall be charged with interest for the same at the rate of 6 pe1· cent., giving h;s bond for payment of said 90 pounds with interest on 24 June next. That the City Chest be sent to the Mayor's house and all the grants, charters, leases, bonds, books, &c., of moment belonging to this Corp0ration in their own right or in trust for the Hospital of S. Stephen, with the common seal, be put therein, and the three keys to be kept, one by the Mayor, one by Ald.
