19 June, 1701. Ordered, that upon account of the payment of the petty duties, all persons not actually free of the Corporation be deemed foreigners and strangers, and pay petty duties. Present-~Ir. ~Iayor, both Sheriffs; .Alden. Charters, Renew, Love, French, Roberts, Goddard, ~!orris, Ronaine; ~Ir. Perrie, ~Ir. Wills, Mr. Browne. 25 June, 1701. Ordered, that an ejectment be brought against Mr. David Goold for the backside in his possession adjoining the Shambles. Present--~Ir. ~Iayor, both Sheriffs; .Alden. .Alwin, Crone, Renew, Love, Roberts, Goddard; J.fr. Perrie, J.fr. Champion, lli. Browne. 3 Sep., 1701. Ordered, that the Chamberlain pay the ~Iayor 25li. 6s. 4d., for the enter- tainment of Admiral Hopton and his company. That he likewise pay 28li. l1s. to the several persons whose boats were employed in carrying the soldiers on board the fleet, according to account given in by :Mr. Bullock That he pay unto ~- Shereman 7li. 12s., for entertainment of the Judges last assizes. That there be an entertainment forthwith provided at J.Ir. Harveye's, for !:Iajor-General Earle and his field officers, the charge to be paid by the Chamberlain. Present-~Ir. ~Iayor, both Sheriffs, Alden. Newenham, Alwin, Crofts, Chartres, Renew, Roberts, Goddard, :liorris; lli. Perrie, Mr. Browne. 30 Sep., 1701. Ordered, that Ald. Wright be paid for the entertainment of Major-General Earle, Brigadier Ingoldsby, and ~Ir. Boyle, for Adjutant-Gen. George upon two expeditions ; that "-r aller l\Iartin be paid for the stable-room of :Maj.- Gen. Earle's horses, and l\Ir. Will. Bennett for the stable-room of the Adju- tant-Gen.'s horses. The Sheriffs to ascertain the sums.
