THE SOCIETY OF MERCHANT TAILORS TO JIAVE A CHARTER.

Ald. French's hands be paid unto him with what money there is in the hands of any other person. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Andrews; Alden. Tucky, Alwin, Crofts, Crone, Love, Roberts ; Mr. Walker, Mr. Perrie, Mr. Terry, 1\fr. Champion. 15 Feb., 1698. Ordered, that the Recorder be paid off his sallary to 1\fichmlmas last, and that Mr. Thomas Browne, with the Chamberlain, state the account, and what shall be found by them due to him over and above, a bill be sent him to Dublin. That .Ald. Crone and Ald. Love audit l\1ichml Price's account for work done by him on the South Bridge, and other work, and pay him out of the City revenue. That Mr. Thos. Browne with Mr. George Savill do treat with Baron Worth in reference to the Hospital lands of S. Stephen, in order to get the deeds and parchments of the same out of his hands, and to get a deed drawn by Council, to be perused by the Recorder, from him to us in our right therein as guardl.ans of the poor. That the Society of Merchant Taylors on their petition have a Charter granted them from this Corporation, with such bye-laws as shall be ap- proved by the Mayor, &c. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Yeomans; Alden. Newenham, Rogers, Crofts, Crone, Chartres, Renew, Love, French, Roberts; Mr. Ronaine, Mr. Walker. Mr. Perrie, Mr. Terry, Mr. Browne. 24 May, 1699. Qrdered, that the officer that receives the duties for the standings in the markets be indemnified if any trouble be given him on account of same. That an acquittance be drawn, and the City seal affixed to it, for the money due to Skiddye's .Alms-house, ending Lady-day last, Mr. Mayor to receive same)nd account to .Ald.
