THE BAKERS TO BE INCORPORATED INTO A SOCIETY.

Ordered, that James Fountaine, the French minister, be admitted free g1·atis. Do. That Jonathan Tresilian be admitted free, having married the daughter of a Freeman. Do. That Rawleigh Coulpois be admitted free, having served his ap- prentiship to the present Mayor. Do. That Christopher Devonshire, paying 10 pounds ster. unto Aid Rogers for the use of the Sharnbles,'be admitted free during his residence. That the Widow "\Vhite be paid out of the City revenue 14 pounds ster. at Christmas next, and 14 pounds 25 March following, for discharge of 28 pounds due to her husband, Mr. Wm.White~ for wine by him given out unto theArmy, soon after the reduction of this town, on the Corporation account. Ordered that Robert Goble, on his petition, be admitted a freeman gratis, at the Mayor's pleasure. Whereas the quorum of the Council of this City, throhgh tlw scarcity of the members since the reduction of this town, by the absence of many of them in Englaad and other places, was limited to nine ; but now, praised Je God 1 since the liberty restored unto us by their present Majesties, our members returning, ordered, that for the future the quorum be 13, the major part of 24. Present--The Mayor, Mayor elect, both Sheriffs; Alden. Dunscombe, Rogers, Webber, Ballard; Mr. Ronaine, Mr. Walker, Mr. Perrie, Mr. Terry. 19 Sep., 1694. On the petition of the Bakers of this City, about the abuse of bread, and as a means to regulate same for the future, have desired to be incorpo- rated into a Society, ordered, that a draft to be made by the Recorder, with such clauses and restrictions as shall to him seem reasonable, be engrossed by the Town Clerk, and perfected unto thern under the City seal.
