ADMISSION OF FREEMEN.

Barber for 20 Barrels of Coals bought by him ; It., that 200 barrels of Coals be bought by George Barber for the Corporation. That John Smith, Esq., of Rathcourcy; Anthony Mann, Esq., Doctor of Physic; Revd. Nicholas Dunscombe, Clk; Will Lucas, apothecary; William Kellock,"Illerch t. ; Revd. Doctor Gardner, Minister of the Octagon Church, Bath, be admitted freemen at Large. Present-The Mayor, Sher. Digby and Pope; Alden. Thompson, Lucas, Bennett, Shaw, Sir S. Rowland ; Mr. Leycester, Day, Newsom, C. S., the May~r Elect, and Mr. Harding. 5 Sep., 1800. Ordered, that the Tolls called Anchorage and Ballast, and other dues from Ships, &c., be let (terms as before); It., that half the above Tolls be paid to the Committee for cleaning and improving the harbour ; It., that a salary of £60 be paid the Waterbaili~ and that a posting be put on the Exchange for electing a Wo.terb~iliff for one year; It., £78 6s. ~jd. to Saml. Hobbs, carpenter> fGr · work done from 4 June, 1799, to 30 May, 1800; It., £21 lls. 6d. to George Barber, his account ; It., £16 3s. Sid. to the Mayor for subscription to Newspapers, &c.; It., £94 lOs. 5id. to Robert Reeves, Dublin Agent, for business done from June, 1796, to June, 1799 ; It., that the Mayor, Sheriffs, and C. S. do contract for repairing the Corn Market, such oontra.ct not to exceed £46 148., to be paid when the work done is oertified by George Barber; It., 6 guineas to the Sergeants-at-Mace for summoning the Council for the present year; It., that the following gentle- men be and are a Committee for procuring estimates for having the statue on the Grand Parade put into repair, and also for repairing the Exchange, llamely, the Mayor, Sheriffs, C. S., Ald. Shaw and Thompson, Burg. Hard- ing, Jun., and Mr. Jones; It., £28 38. 8d. to Anthony Edwards, stationer, his account from 2 Sep., 1799, to this day. .
