Sheriffs Wood and Jackson and 1\{r. Bousfield sworn of the Council. Ordered, that a Congratulatory Address be presented to His Majesty, and that the address now proposed be approved of, transcribed, and sent to the different members for their signatures; It., that the before-mentioned ad- dress be handed to the Lord-Lieut. by our Sheriffs, our Recorder, and Representatives in Parliament, and that he be requested to transmit the same to His Majesty; It., that the thanks of this Board be given to the committee of assize and provisions appointed last August, who at the request of this board undertook inspecting the returns of the Bakers and Corn Factors, to regulate the Assize of Bread, and report on the state of provisions, and that they be requested to continue their exertions; It.,· that £5 be paid to Mr. John FitzGerald, employed by the committee to regulate the afOJ:esaid returns, and remark ther~on, for one quarter's salary now due ; lt., £407 4s. to the Chamberlain, being the amount of the damages and taxed costs in the cause instituted by Sir Saml. Rowland, Knt., against the Corporation ; It., that Mr. Bousfield be appointed one of the · Committee of assize and provisions in the room of Mr. Lane, who could not attend. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher.
