ADMISSION OF FREEMEN.

It is therefore resolved, that the thanks of this Board be and are hereby given to Lieut.-Gen. Massey, and that this resolution fairly transcribed, and signed by the Town Clerk, be delivered to Gen. Massey, and that it be also published in the News Papers. That the Rt. Hon. the E:ul of Bective; Rt. Hon. Lord Montjoy, Col of Co. Dublin Militia; Sir Lawrence Parsons, Bart., Col of the King's Co. Militia ; Col. -- Buchanan, Comg. the Detachment of the Royal Irish Artillery at Cork; Major Mahon, Com. 7th. Rag. of Dragoon Guards at Cork, for their rearliness in collecting their respective Corps and for their very great exertions to preserve peace and order in this City on the above occasion ; the same mark of approbation would have been voted by this Board to the Hon. Col. Foster, he being considered by them as equally entitled with the other Noblemen and Gentlemen to a like mark of dis- tinction for his ready assistance with his corps on that occasion, but that he is already .a Free.man of this City ; also,. Lieut.-Col. Massey, second son of Genl. Massey, and one of his aids de camp on the above occasion ; Capt. Charles Massey Baker, another of Gen 1• Massey's aids de camps; Capt. Charles Massey, eldest son of Genl. Massey, one of the aids de camps, be presented with their freedoms. Present--Mr. Mayor and both Sheriffs ; Alden. Webb, Owgan, Lawton, Sir J. Franklin, Sir S. Rowland, Kingston, Puxley, Harris, Shaw; Mr. Busteed, Carleton, and Allen, C. S. 18 Sep., 1795. Ordered, that £89 78. 10d. be paid the Mayor, expenses he was at in providing an entertainment at the Mansion House for His Excell. the Lo. Lieut.; It., £2 12s. 7 ,d. to Messrs. Alexander and Johnson, expenses of the Army that attended to keep the peace at Corke Fair; It., £7 138. 10d. to the Sheriffs, expenses going to invite the Lo.-Lieut. tO this City; It., £7 19s. 3d. to the Mayor, expenses paid by him for News Papers at the ~lansion House; It., £9 38. ld. to Mr. Robt, Patterson, paid by him by order of the Mayor, for sending away upwards of 200 women and children belonging to the different Regiments, that embarked · at Corke ; It., £4 168. 1 Od. to the Mayor, for plaistering the inside of the buildings over the new markets to the front of Princes Street; It., that one moiety, or ~ of the fees, &~., of the Corporation, called Anchorage . an~ Ba~t • . 139
