PUBLIC OVENS TO BE ERECTED IN THE CITY.

of bread, &c., for returning to government; It., £98 lOs. 6d. to Wm. Lum- ley, for candles supplied the Guard Houses, from 7 Jan., 1791, to 15 Oct., 1794; also, £13 18s. O!d. for candles from 6 April, 1791, to 7 Nov., 1794; It., £17 12s. 1d. to the Sheriffs, extra expenses they were at in consequence of the attempt made to rescue from them the prisoners they were conveying to Dublin; It., £48 15s. 3td. to Robt. Reeves, Corporation Agent in Dublin, cost of obtaining approbation of magistrates for three years past, money paid and business done from 1792, to Trinity vacation, 1794; It., that the members of the Council in council assembled, shall be a committee for receiving the W aterbailiff's accounts. We do hereby appoint Robert Patterson to be Dep.-Waterbailiff, that he shall be amenable to the Waterbailiff, account on oath with the principal Waterbailffs, a~; often as required ; It., that a salary at the rate of 30 guineas a year be paid said Robert Patterson, as long as he shall continue in office. Present-The Mayor, Sher. Perrier and Bagwell; Alden. Lawton, Owgan, Kent, SirS. Rowland, Shaw, Harris, Crowly, Sir J. Franklin; Mr. Westropp, Lucas, Jackson, C. S., Busteed, Izod, and Kellett. 24 Nov., 1794. Resolved, that it is the opinion of this Board, that the erecting of public ovens in this City would be of general benefit to the citizens. Ordered, that so much of the ground to the eastward of the houses fronting the Corn Market as shall be found necessary shall be made use of for erecting thereon four, five, or six public ovens for baking bread for the public, whenever occasion shall require; It., that the Mayor, Sheriffs and C. S. be a committee to inspect the above ground, and have a plan pre- pared of as much as they may think necessary for erecting public ovens thereon. \ ./ That the Most Noble Arthur, Marquis of Downshire, now in this City, X be presented with his freedom in a Silver Box.
