Descriptive list of the Daniel MacCarthy (Glas) Collection
Scope and Content: Macartney thanks Daniel for the account of the memorial which he has recently had erected in a church in Dunmanway, County Cork. He mentions that he is a member of the Council of the Home Rule Association, and that its chairman, William Joseph O'Neill Daunt, is originally from near Dunmanway. Macartney is still in favour of electing Daniel as chieftain of the MacCarthy clan, and says he will see what O'Neill Daunt "can do in the matter."
