Caulfield also says that the only clergyman "of the name you enquire" in the diocese, is the parish priest of Kinsale.

Scope and Content: Caulfield thanks Daniel for his letter and says that he has only returned "here" in the last week. He says there is little chance of obtaining information about the picture of Bishop MacCarthy, which he saw 10 or 12 years ago in a [?lumber] shop. He asks Daniel to send a dozen copies of his book so he can circulate them with people who are "someway connected, and from whom we may expect to get some information". He thinks the MacCarthys should have a chieftain and that Daniel would be suited to the title.
