Scope and Content: Alice MacCarthy [née Linton] was the wife of Florence Strachan MacCarthy. File includes several photographic portraits of Alice, a photograph of Alice and [?two of her daughters] having tea and playing banjo in a garden, photographs of Alice in a wheelchair observing floods in Hemingford Abbots, Cambridgeshire, England in June 1903, and a photograph of Alice's grave. Several of the photographs include captions.

Scope and Content: File includes a copy of Alice's last will and testament, dated 17 November 1911; 3 deeds titled: "Re the trusts of the marriage settlement of Mr and Mrs Florence Strachan MacCarthy: Account of Mr Edward Colegrave the Trustee of the Settlement being a copy of the Schedule to the Release to be given to him by the Beneficiaries on the division and payment over of the Trust Funds on the death of Mrs Alice MacCarthy which took place on the 28th October 1911"; "Copy draft Release to the Trustee of the Marriage Settlement of Mr and Mrs Florence Strachan MacCarthy on the division and payment of the trust funds"; and a copy indenture dated 1912 between Florence Popham MacCarthy of Westwood Abbey Road, Torquay, Devon, Alice Cooper, Charles MacCarthy, Donal Percy MacCarthy, Mary MacCarthy, Aileen MacCarthy, and others. The copy deeds were all likely created by Slaughter and Colegrave, 7 Arundel Street, Strand, [London] WC [England].
