Descriptive list of the Daniel MacCarthy (Glas) Collection
John Windele recognised the historical significance of the Jeremiah MacCarthy an Duna pedigree and copied it for Daniel in 1848 . Daniel provided financial support to Jeremiah’s son, Charles, and his family for many years and, following Charles’ death, the family gave the original pedigree to Daniel in 1867 [see PR70/B/585].
