Scope and Content: Windele says he is in receipt of Daniel’s postal order of £2 for “Mrs and Miss McCarthy which I have handed her.” He encloses some documents relating to the MacCarthy family which he found in his father’s [John Windele] papers [it is possible that these pa pers are the documents found between pages 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 16-17, and 18-19 of the volume]. He says his mother requests Daniel’s carte [de visite] and he will send Daniel his father’s carte de visite in exchange.

They may be part of the “papers” mentioned by Edwin Windele in his letter dated 2 October 1866 [see page 1].
